Hello everyone. It’s been a week since I’ve arrived in beautiful Spain. It has taken a lot of settling/getting used to, but I’m finally in the condition to blog, and I’m so happy to share my experiences with you.
Me and two other classmates spent our first night in the city of Madrid, where our flight landed. We walked around the downtown area, which contained a beautiful market that was close to the Plaza Mayor of Madrid.
Since we only spent one night in Madrid, it was spent walking all around. The portion we were in is very walkable. We perused the marketplace, talked to locals and even met a group of high school students from Chicago on their senior trip. It was great. The next day, we headed to the train, en route to Salamanca. It was sad to leave Madrid prematurely, but we have plans to return before we leave.
We arrived to Salamanca safely in the afternoon. The train ride was fast and very smooth, and the sites here are to die for!
I wish I could share more pictures but alas, the internet cafe I’m writing from is about to close and my computer is about to die. Soon, I will write about the foods I’ve experienced so far as well as the culture, the people and the fashion. So please stay tuned.
Til then, Ciáo!
